October Homeschool Day

The second of our two special Homeschool Days at WWA will take place on October 7th. What makes this day special for home-schoolers?
You can...
Interact with animals, animals, animals! Meet our NEW animals, including otters, an owl, a baby camel, baby macaw, and several kittens.
Every paid admission includes a small cup of carrots to feed the animals, as well as a parakeet stick
Catch one of the Wildlife Shows throughout the day, including and education and fun visit with some of our animals.
Work off some energy at the Zipline and playground
Explore Brushy Creek and go gem mining
Cool off in the mini splashpad
Tour Daniel Boone's Cabin - visit the original building that the Boone family lived in before they moved out of Kentucky
Treat yourself to delish hand-dipped ice cream, fresh-squeezed lemonade or other delicious offerings at Cookie's Cafe
Special guests for Homeschool Day include local libraries, the Extension Office and other groups providing fun information and activities. these local groups, here to provide youth-centered activities:
No reservations are required, and there are no group minimums for this event. No public schools are scheduled for today.
Please note:
Admission is $12/person per person ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under are admitted FREE
MUST be paid in CASH to receive discount. All other purchases may be made with cash OR card
You must check in by 2 pm to receive special admission and free animal feed
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will NOT be hosting a curriculum swap at the May event
