Below are just a few of the many animal species you will encounter on your visit to WWA.
Giraffe
Giraffes inhabit a scattered range in Africa, usually living in savannahs and woodlands.
Grant's Zebra
These animals prefer the savanna woodlands and grasslands of Africa
Two-Toed Sloth
These animals come from Central America and northern parts of South America
Blue and Gold Macaw
This colorful critter is native to the woodlands and forests of tropical South America
Dromedary Camel
These animals, also known as Arabian Camels, are native to Northern Africa and the Middle East.
African Crested Porcupine
Our Porcupine friends originated in the northern area of Africa
African Spur-Thighed Tortoise
Native to the Sahara Desert and the grasslands, savannas and thorn scrublands of the Sahel in Africa
Kookaburra
Kookaburras are native to Australia, where they live in trees and brush in family groups.
Red Kangaroo
The Red Kangaroo is native to Australia, where it is found all across the mainland.
African Crown Cranes
These birds are native to Sub-Saharan Africa, and live mainly in dry savannah.
West African Pygmy Goat
This species originated in the Cameroon Valley of West Africa.
Parakeets
There are many varieties of parakeets, with the Australian budgerigar, or shell parakeet, being one of the most common.
