  • Students, chaperones and parents who prepay the school will be $12/person.

  • Parents paying individually from the school payment will be charged regular admission of $14 + tax.

What you will receive:

  • Admission into the Wildlife Park

  • Wildlife Show

  • Small Carrot Cup and Parakeet Stick

  • Access to playground, splash pad and creek (with teacher permission)

  • We will ensure your lunches are delivered from the bus to the picnic area.

  • Directions to a self-guided walk and tour of Daniel Boone’s Cabin

What happens when you arrive:

  • Please have your bus/vehicle pull up to Visitor’s Center for unloading. Stay to the right and follow the circle around until you come to the green gate by the elephant statue. This is where we will unload and enter the zoo. Please don’t unload until a WWA Staff Member instructs you to do so.

  • You will be greeted by our staff and asked what your final attendance totals are.

  • You may receive an agenda for your visit, which will include wildlife show time, lunch location and time, and when you will receive your carrot cups and parakeet sticks.

  • Payment will be addressed at this time.

  • We try to schedule the Wildlife Show as your first activity, but if we have several groups, we may stagger the show times to make sure each group has a great experience! Please make every effort to arrive at your scheduled time for the Wildlife Show.

  • A brief overview will be given so you are aware of the location of all facilities.

How to make the best use of your time during your visit:

  • Have your attendance numbers and payment ready when you arrive.

  • Make sure all lunches/drinks are in a large box or cooler to help with transportation.

  • Label your lunch box/coolers so it is easily identifiable should we have multiple schools.

  • It is helpful if your small groups/chaperones are decided prior to your arrival to help make the entry process seamless.

  • We suggest you do a small unit study on Daniel Boone prior to your arrival to enhance the educational experience of visiting his cabin.

What if…?

  • I need to cancel. Please call or email us as soon as you know so that we may open the opportunity to others. There is no fee to cancel.

  • I have a lot of absent students on the day of field trip. My preprinted school check doesn’t match the attendance! Refunds under $50 will be compensated for by adding extra carrot cups and/or parakeet sticks for your group. If a refund is requested for over $50, we ask that you instead send us an updated check for the correct amount of admission fees at the earliest opportunity.

  • I have a wheelchair. The paths across the creek are both compacted rock and asphalt. Some places may prove to be a little more challenging to navigate. If requested prior to arrival, we will offer you a ride to and from the Education Barn for the Wildlife Show to help with this.

  • I am traveling a distance and would like a restroom break for my students before we begin our time. Please let us know prior to your arrival and we will add time for a restroom break before your Wildlife Show.

  • Our students are bringing money for the gift shop. Students are welcome to make purchases but will need to be accompanied by an adult member of your group while in the gift shop.
