field trips & groups

Thank you for your interest in a field trip at Wendt’s Wildlife Adventure!  When you bring your school or group to our family-owned Wildlife park, your students & staff will have a hands-on educational experience with many animals from around the world.  Mostly self-guided, you will see our indoor exhibits with animals such as the sloths, bunnies, reptiles, turtles & more.  Then you will head outdoors where we have a large variety of animals such as kangaroos, camels, parrots, cattle, alpacas, donkeys, and more.  Included in your visit is entrance to the parakeet encounter.  Your students can spend some time at the playground, and if the teachers are game, they can also explore Brushy Creek that runs through the grounds.  While here, be sure to incorporate a visit to Daniel Boone’s cabin if time permits.

  • There is a group minimum of 15 people.

  • Reservations are required for groups.

  • The price is $7.00 for students, parents, homeschool teachers and extra children.  Teachers & bus drivers are admitted free.

  • A small cup of carrots & a Parakeet Encounter seed stick can be added for an additional $2.00 per person.

  • Payment must be made upon arrival with cash or a school/organization check.

  • A short educational wildlife presentation will be included.  We will break larger groups into groups of approximately 30 students at a time.

  • You are welcome to bring sack lunches.  Picnic areas are available.

  • Playground is included.

  • Daniel Boone’s last home in Kentucky is on site, and is no additional charge.

  • We have a gift shop to purchase souvenirs, ice cream, slushees & other snacks & candy.
